This concept was inspired by the rising presence of isolation in our neighborhoods — and a growing dependence on corporations over the neighbors right beside us. The belief is simple: we already have everything we need in the people around us.
The Newark Bridge Collective has a foundation and a direction — but it isn't finished. It will be shaped by the voices, needs, and hands of this community
This project was started by Austin Townsend, a Newark neighbor. We are currently working through the process of establishing fiscal sponsorship — the structure that will allow us to formally receive donations and organizational support. All funds will go directly to the community, with full transparency.
We are actively seeking volunteers and community members to help shape what this becomes. If any part of this speaks to you — reach out. This bridge gets built together.
